Now Accepting Nominations to the SCSL Board of Directors

The SCSL Board of Directors is pleased to announce the 2018-2019 Nominating Committee!

Missy Schleig (SCSL Northern Area Rep)
Hope Matthews (SCSL Central Area Rep)
Sarah Dodson (SCSL Southern Area Rep)
Levi Dofermire (SCSL Technical Director)
Devon Pence (SCSL Immediate Past President)

From the SCSL By-Laws: “The Nominating Committee is entrusted with the task of recruiting suitable candidates to undertake future leadership roles within the [Shenandoah County Soccer] League. [...The Committee will] submit its written report setting forth the Committee’s recommendations to the League Board at the Board’s October meeting. The slate of prospective officers shall be then acted upon during the annual meeting of the League Board [in November].”

Here is the list of the League’s offices for which the Nominating Committee will make recommendations. Elections for all of these offices will be held Thursday, November 1. The term of office is December 1 through November 30. Current officers are listed here.

There are many talented and conscientious individuals active in the Shenandoah County Soccer League: coaches, assistant coaches, referees, and parents. Some may be too modest to raise their hand and volunteer to serve as a leader in the League. Please use the Nominating Committee as a way to recognize these individuals and recommend them to join the SCSL Board of Directors.
