President's Update: Another Way to Say Thank You

A very big thank you to the 84 people who came and watched the World Cup Final at the Woodstock Brewhouse! A good time was had by all.

Special thanks to the Woodstock Brewhouse for opening early on a Sunday, to DC United for donating tickets, and to Kellogg's for donating soccer balls.

Why did SCSL host this event? As another way to say thank you to the kids who play and the parents and volunteers who make that play possible. There is a value to being a part of this league that goes far beyond playing soccer, and the league will look for other ways to enhance your participation in SCSL in addition to our programming and facilities.

Here's the next one: Saturday, August 4, is SCSL Appreciation Day at Dick's Sporting Goods! From 10 AM - 4 PM at both the Harrisonburg and Winchester locations, families with kids registered for fall soccer (rec or travel) will enjoy significant discounts on most items in the store just in time for back-to-school.
