New Field Locations at the SoccerPlex for Fall 2019

There will be some changes when you arrive at the SoccerPlex Saturday for Opening Day of the Fall 2019 season, but there will also be a lot that feels the same.

The new field that was graded and seeded last fall is now ready! This field will be used for the 10U, 8U, and 6U fields. Please note which sides are reserved for parents and which are reserved for coaches. Coaches and teams sit on the opposite side of the field as parents.

The League listened to concerns from parents and grandparents that the fields for younger players were too far away for those with difficulty walking. Going forward the League will now keep the fields for younger players near the parking lot for easier access.

The 12U field is now at the far end (Field 4), and the full-sized field (14U-19U, Moose Field) is in the front.

The back field (Field 5) is "resting" this season and with some TLC from Strutter Turf should be back to looking great by next spring. We will then be able to rotate another field into a "rest" period. It is the League's intention to "rest" a field each year in order to prevent over-use and preserve the reputation of the SoccerPlex as having some of the best natural grass fields in Virginia.

You may also notice a lot more signs. The League listened to complaints and concerns and will be strictly enforcing our "No Smoking / No Vaping" policy and our "No Pets" policy. Specially trained service animals are welcome at the SoccerPlex, but pets and emotional support animals are not allowed. You will be asked to remove your animal from the fields to your car.

The SCSL SoccerPlex is not a public park. It is a private athletic complex which is owned and maintained by the Shenandoah County Soccer League, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Participants in the League's activities (recreational and travel soccer) are welcome to come and enjoy the facilities, but the League does ask and require that our rules are followed. Failure to do so will result in the offender being firmly asked to return to their vehicle, and may result in expulsion from League activities.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to the SoccerPlex Saturday, September 7, for Opening Day of the Fall 2019 soccer season!
